Jeff Sadler: This was the first house to go up in Mr. Sadler's neighborhood which he designed to provide the formality and function of by-gone eras with the utmost in quality features. He succeeded at selling this residence as one of the highest quality per dollar houses sold in the Buckhead/Sandy Springs area in many years.

Groin Vaulting

Location: City of Grayson area in State of Georgia, USA

Architect: William T. Baker

General Contractor: Magbee Custom Homes

Backstory: Bill Kemper 

Special Features:
  • Radial and elliptical groin vaulting.
  • Barrel ceiling over entry is engineered to accommodate the weight of the roof bearing down from above.
  • All radius members were precision machine cut. No jig saws were used.
  • All structural components were manufactured off-site.
  • Decimal inch design & production drawings provided by Wm. C. Kemper Consulting for the ceilings structural elements including the sheetrock.
Special recognition:

Mark A. Senn: Mr. Senn carefully manufactured and labeled all components off-site for this complex ceiling structure.

Christopher Keibler: Mr. Keibler carefully transported and installed the precut ceiling. He then directed the precutting and installation of the sheetrock for the complex ceiling.

Italianate II

Location: Buckhead area of Atlanta, GA

General Contractor: Turner Builders, Inc.

Special Features:
  • Very intricate residence for only being 5,200 sq. ft.
  • Four-sided elliptical tray ceiling at living room.
  • Front door is reclaimed from a historic Chicago bank building.
  • Roof structure is all wood-I joist, laminated veneer lumber, & parallel-strand lumber engineered roof components.
Special recognition:

Christopher Keibler: Mr. Keibler, Corinthian Concurrent's production engineer, maintained absolutely outstanding overall x, y, and z accuracy for this highly-complex architectural project.

Mark A. Senn: Mr. Senn, Corinthian Concurrent's component engineer, accurately prefabricated the highly complex components and assemblies that skillfully fed Mr. Keibler's layout and assembly skills.

Herbert Hess; Mr. Hess invented specialized tool fixtures that facilitated extremely accurate/exotic component manufacturing.

Double Donut Architecture

Location: Stone Mountain area of State of Georgia, USA

Architect: Southern Classic Design

General Contractor: Magbee Custom Homes

Back Story: Bill Kemper was approached by Chuck Magbee asking if Bill knew how to construct the "double donut" that is part of the front entrance of this contemporary residence. Three truss companies that Chuck had inquired with had no idea how to construct such a unique feature.  Corinthian Concurrent and Wm. C. Kemper Consulting provided the unique foyer radius ceiling components, the exterior double donut structure, and the porte cochere to the project.  Wm. C. Kemper Consulting coordinated its ideas with the structural engineer who specified the plywood and screwing specifications for the structural radius components that facilitated Wm. C. Kemper's production drawings.

Special Features:
  • Front entrance consisting of double tiered 3 foot wide x 3 inch thick laminated radius components spanning over twenty-two feet.
  • Barrel ceiling over entry is engineered to accommodate the weight of the roof bearing down from above.
  • All radius members were precision machine cut by a one-of-a-kind HERBBILL Technologies fabrication fixture/ No jigsaws were used.
  • Concurrent design engineering and decimal-inch accurate 3-D production drawings provided by Wm. C. Kemper Consulting.

Special recognition:

Christopher Keibler: Mr. Keibler directed the installation of the components manufactured by Mr. Senn.

Mark A. Senn: Mr. Senn accurately prefabricated 95% of all the components off-site based on Wm. C. Kemper production drawings.
