Attorney Attestation

An offer is credible when a law firm stands behind it.

Buyers able to purchase metal by the metric ton do not chase offers. They answer the ones that arrive already credible. An attorney's attestation is the fastest way there.

What it does, for each party

Seller Stays anonymous if it chooses. Counsel holds the identity and confirms that a real, verified owner and real metal stand behind the offer.
Intermediary Presents an offer a buyer will read. No principal's name, account or banker is needed; counsel holds them.
Buyer Receives statements backed by a firm's licence and professional indemnity insurance, each traceable to a recorded verification step.
Attorney Works from a clear structure: what was examined, how it was verified, what is confirmed, and what is not.

What counsel confirms

  • An identified principal exists and has authorised the offer
  • Beneficial owners verified
  • Title and chain of ownership
  • Assay report authenticated with its issuer
  • Custody confirmed with the vault
  • Free of encumbrances
  • Lawful origin of the metal and of the funds that acquired it
  • Sanctions screening

Weight and fineness rest on the assay, not on counsel.

When an attestation may be waived

Magister Operis will consider proceeding without an attestation when a party's credibility is obvious and in the league of the transaction: standing a buyer's compliance team can confirm from the public record, of a weight that matches the amount on the table.

  • a named principal, not anonymous
  • a role and track record on the public record
  • standing proportionate to the size of the offer

A hypothetical, to show the test at work:

If Claus Halle of Coca-Cola told you his best friend runs a top bank, and the friend's brother has MTNs for sale, why believe him?

Because he is Claus Halle of Coca-Cola. Credibility of that weight carries what he vouches for. The same story from past_president_coke@yahoo.com carries nothing.

A seller who stays anonymous, or whose standing is not evident at that level, gives compliance nothing to check. Counsel's attestation supplies it.

Credibility, not size

Buyers able to purchase metal by the metric ton respond to offers that make themselves credible, not to the largest number on the page.

Do it right the first time

It is the concept, not a script: any competent attorney or paralegal adapts the wording to the facts, provided every confirmation stays supported by the verification log. Gold, silver, platinum, palladium.

Standard

Counsel named, engaged, reachable on a firm-domain address, admitted, and carrying active professional indemnity cover sized to the transaction. English law by default.
